How Gennev bills

Gennev shows Aetna, Anthem and Cigna among the insurers it accepts [1]. We did not find a self-pay visit price on Oct 17 2026, so this review is marked incomplete. Because prescriptions go to your own pharmacy [1], the medication is billed by that pharmacy under your drug coverage or at its cash price.

What a Gennev visit covers

Gennev pairs doctor visits with dietitian visits and says it sends same-day prescriptions [1]. Its site does not name the specific drugs it prescribes. If weight is part of the reason you are seeking care, read our guide to menopause and weight.

Context on the 2025 label change

Under the Nov 2025 FDA action, menopausal hormone therapy labels lose boxed warning language on cardiovascular disease, breast cancer and probable dementia, but keep the endometrial cancer boxed warning for systemic estrogen-alone products [4]. FDA says only about 2 million of roughly 41 million US women in the 45 to 64 age range received a hormone therapy prescription [5].

FDA and BBB record

Gennev is not among the telehealth companies in our FDA warning letter tracker. Our search of FDA's full database on Oct 17 2026 could not be completed because fda.gov limited requests [6], and bbb.org blocks automated access. The clean rating stays provisional until both are done.

Who it fits

  • Fits: you have Aetna, Anthem or Cigna and want visits billed to your plan [1].
  • Fits: you want a dietitian alongside the prescriber [1].
  • Look elsewhere: you need a posted cash price. Midi Health lists $250 and $150 self-pay visits [7].
  • Look elsewhere: you want a membership with a set monthly price, as Evernow offers from $35 [8].

Safety

The endometrial cancer boxed warning remains on systemic estrogen-alone products [4]. Ask your prescriber what to watch for. Call 911 in an emergency.
