How we check

Concierge and longevity medicine in Pittsburgh

We found no Pittsburgh concierge practice with a published fee, so national figures are the benchmark: $2,250 to $2,930 a year on MDVIP physician pages and $2,600 to $3,600 at PartnerMD [1] [2] [3]. Locally, Allegheny Health Network runs an Executive Health and Wellness Program [4].

Medical review: pending. A licensed clinician has not yet reviewed this page.

Concierge medicine is primary care sold by annual membership, where a physician keeps a smaller patient list and offers faster access in exchange for the fee.

What a retainer means on a Pittsburgh income

Pittsburgh's median household income is $65,742 [5]. A $2,250 to $2,930 MDVIP-style fee would be about 3.4% to 4.5% of that [1] [2]. GAO's 2005 survey, the oldest baseline, found annual fees from $60 to $15,000 with $1,500 the most common [7]. Fees have moved up since, and the AAFP notes concierge practices typically serve higher-income patients [8].

Allegheny Health Network's executive program

AHN lists an Executive Health and Wellness Program [4]. An executive physical is a one-time, in-depth checkup rather than ongoing membership care. We did not confirm a price, so ask what tests are included and whether insurance is billed for any of them. Compare programs in executive physicals.

No Pennsylvania DPC statute

DPC Frontier lists no Pennsylvania law defining direct primary care; 2017 bills are not shown as enacted [6]. DPC can still operate. Since January 1, 2026, IRS rules let HSA owners pay qualifying DPC fees, capped at $150 a month for an individual, from their HSA [9] [10]. Employers now fund 60% of active DPC memberships, according to Hint Health's 2026 report [11]. See direct primary care and find a DPC practice.

If you are on Medicare

About 15.6% of Pittsburgh residents are 65 or older [5]. Medicare does not pay concierge membership fees, and doctors who accept assignment cannot charge the fee for Medicare-covered services [12]. Read concierge medicine and Medicare. Other cities: Philadelphia, Cincinnati and Baltimore.
