A concierge pediatrician is a children's doctor whose practice charges families a membership fee in exchange for enhanced services or access, the same model GAO describes for concierge care [3].

HSA rules for family memberships
Under IRS Notice 2026-5, a direct primary care arrangement can include pediatric medicine physicians as primary care practitioners, and HSA rules allow fees of up to $300 a month when it covers more than one person [5]. Do the math for your family before you join. In Illinois, one KerixHealth adult at $199 plus one child at $139 comes to $338 a month [1], which is over $300. Fees over the cap can still be reimbursed as medical expenses but make the person ineligible to contribute to an HSA while enrolled [5]. Practices that bill insurance separately do not count as direct primary care arrangements at all [5].
Questions to ask a concierge pediatrician
- What is the yearly or monthly fee for each child, and is there a family rate?
- Which visits, vaccines and tests are inside the fee, and which are billed to insurance?
- Who answers after hours, and how fast can a sick child be seen?
- Do you see newborns, and from what age?
- How do I cancel, and is any part of the fee refunded?
- Can I confirm your license? Your state medical board lists it [8].
What is still unknown
We did not find a published concierge pediatrics fee, so this page does not say what concierge pediatricians typically charge. We also did not find a published price for Sollis Pediatrics [4]. If you see a published fee from a pediatric practice, send it to us and we will add it to the Index after checking the practice's own page.
Emergencies
A membership does not replace emergency care. If your child has a medical emergency, call 911.
