Hone Health is a US membership telehealth company that tests hormone levels at home and prescribes testosterone therapy and other hormone, hair, sexual health and weight-loss treatments.
Our verdict
CleanLow entry membership with published prices and no FDA warning letter found. Medication is billed separately, so the true monthly total is higher.
- FDA record
- None found in an fda.gov search and a 163-letter compilation, as of Oct 17 2026.
- BBB
- Not checked. bbb.org blocks automated access.
- Best for
- Men who want lab-guided TRT with a low monthly membership and are fine paying for medication separately
- Watch out
- Provisional verdict: the BBB rating was not checked. The $25 and $155 prices exclude medication. Premium adds lab retesting every 90 days at a much higher monthly fee.

The membership is the smaller part of the bill. Ask what Hone charges for testosterone itself and whether your prescription can go to an outside pharmacy, where a 1 mL vial of generic cypionate runs about $20 to $31 with a coupon [3]. Our TRT cost guide compares clinic fees and pharmacy prices.
What Hone offers
Hone prescribes testosterone therapy, estrogen and menopause hormone therapy, finasteride and minoxidil, ED treatments and weight-loss drugs, all on top of a membership [1]. Premium includes a panel of more than 50 biomarkers with a retest every 90 days [1].
Who qualifies for testosterone
The American Urological Association uses a total testosterone below 300 ng/dL, confirmed on a repeat test, together with symptoms or signs, to support a diagnosis [4]. FDA labels approve testosterone for men with low testosterone plus a related condition (primary or hypogonadotropic hypogonadism); safety and efficacy for age-related low testosterone are not established [5].
Hone versus Function Health
People compare the two because both start with blood work. Function Health is a lab-testing membership at $365 a year [6] and does not run a TRT program. Hone is a prescribing service with lab testing attached. See the Function Health review and our longevity blood test comparison.
FDA and complaint check
No FDA warning letter to Hone Health was found in an fda.gov search and a compilation of 163 telehealth letters as of Oct 17 2026 [2]. Hone does not appear in our FDA warning letter tracker. We did not check BBB because bbb.org blocks automated access, so the clean rating is provisional.
Who should use Hone, and who should not
- Use it if you want a low monthly membership and published lab pricing [1].
- Use it if you want retesting every 90 days and can pay $155 a month for Premium [1].
- Skip it if you want one all-in monthly price. Fountain TRT lists $199 a month with medication and visits included [7].
- Skip it if you want an in-person clinic. Our TRT clinic finder explains the options.
Testosterone safety, per FDA labeling
FDA's Feb 2025 class-wide update removed the cardiovascular boxed warning language but added a blood pressure warning to testosterone products that lacked one [8]. Testosterone gels carry a boxed warning because children who touched application sites developed virilization [5]. Call 911 for chest pain, trouble breathing or other emergencies.
