LifeMD is a publicly traded telehealth company whose affiliated medical practices run a weight management program built around brand-name GLP-1 medicines such as Wegovy and Zepbound.
Our verdict
CleanA brand-name program with a month-to-month fee and insurance help, and no FDA letter or regulator action found. The program fee adds $149 a month to the drug price, and its own pages disagree on that fee.
- FDA record
- No warning letter found in fda.gov searches or a compilation of 163 letters through Sept 30 2026 [2].
- BBB
- No confirmed BBB record. We could not check LifeMD's BBB profile as of Oct 17 2026, so this rating does not rest on a good BBB record and stays provisional until we do.
- Best for
- People who want FDA-approved Wegovy or Zepbound with clinician visits, coaching and help with insurance, and who are not on Medicare, Medicaid or TRICARE.
- Watch out
- We have not yet confirmed this company's BBB record. Trustpilot reviewers report unexpected fees, charges after cancelling and refused refunds [3].

LifeMD GLP-1 cost, fee by fee
| Item | Price | Notes | Checked | Source |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Weight management program | $39 first month, then $149/mo | Month-to-month; billed separately from medication; includes clinician visits, coaching, labs if none in the last 12 months, insurance help | Oct 17 2026 | [1] |
| Wegovy pill | From $149/mo plus program fee | New patients without coverage; dose tiers not shown | Oct 17 2026 | [1] |
| Wegovy pen | From $199/mo plus program fee | New patients without coverage | Oct 17 2026 | [1] |
| Zepbound vial | From $299/mo plus program fee | Dose tiers not shown | Oct 17 2026 | [1] |
| LifeMD+ membership (optional) | $19/mo | Auto-renews; cancel in the portal | Oct 17 2026 | [4] |
Put together, the lowest cash month after the first is the $149 program fee plus the $149 starting Wegovy pill: about $298. Zepbound at the starting price plus the fee comes to about $448. The drug prices match the makers' own self-pay starting prices, so the program fee is the real extra: NovoCare sells the Wegovy pill from $149 [5] and LillyDirect sells Zepbound 2.5 mg at $299 [6]. Higher doses cost more at both makers; see Wegovy pill prices by dose and Zepbound cost.
What the program covers
- FDA-approved brand GLP-1s: Wegovy pen and pill, Zepbound vial and KwikPen, and Foundayo. Ozempic and Saxenda are offered through insurance [1].
- Clinician visits, coaching, labs if you have had none in the past year, and help with insurance approvals [1].
- Delivery through a nationwide mail-order pharmacy network. Wegovy ships through a LifeMD and NovoCare program, and Novo Nordisk lists LifeMD among its self-pay partners [7].
- LifeMD says compounded medicine "may" be prescribed through a state-licensed sterile compounding partner, but it shows no compounded products or prices [1].
Medicare, Medicaid and TRICARE patients are not eligible for the program, even though the site shows a "Medicare Accepted" badge [1]. If you are on Medicare, see GLP-1 coverage under Medicare instead.
Refunds and the money-back offer
Monthly fees already paid are not refunded, and you can cancel any time. LifeMD offers money back if you do not lose at least 10% of body weight; its FAQ says "by the end of a year". We did not read the full guarantee terms, so ask for them before you count on it [1].
FDA, BBB and what reviewers say
FDA: No warning letter to LifeMD in fda.gov searches or a compilation of 163 GLP-1 letters through Sept 30 2026. An fda.gov search for the name turns up only Lyfe Rx, a different company [2]. Our FDA letter tracker lists the firms that were cited.
BBB: Not yet confirmed. Under our rating rules, a D or F rating or a billing complaint pattern would move LifeMD to Avoid.
Trustpilot: 3.9 from 4,258 reviews on a profile claimed in July 2021. Negative reviews describe unexpected fees, charges after cancelling, refused refunds, and paying for a consult only to be found ineligible [3].
Good fit, poor fit
- Good fit: you want a brand-name drug, value coaching and lab work in one place, or want help getting insurance to pay.
- Poor fit: you only need a prescription and can use your own doctor, since the makers' programs charge the same drug prices without the $149 fee; or you are on Medicare, Medicaid or TRICARE.
Label safety points
Wegovy carries a boxed warning for thyroid C-cell tumors seen in rodents and is not for people with a personal or family history of medullary thyroid carcinoma or MEN 2. Its warnings include acute pancreatitis, so severe stomach pain that will not go away needs prompt care, and low blood sugar when used with insulin or a sulfonylurea. The label says to stop it at least 2 months before a planned pregnancy [8]. Call 911 for a severe allergic reaction.
