An online GLP-1 program is a telehealth service in which a licensed clinician prescribes a GLP-1 medicine such as Zepbound, Wegovy or a compounded version after a remote visit, and a pharmacy ships it.

How online GLP-1 programs work
You complete an intake, a clinician reviews it, and the prescription goes to a pharmacy. Brand-drug programs usually route self-pay prescriptions to LillyDirect or NovoCare, which set the drug price [2] [3]. The program then charges its own membership or visit fee on top. Compounded-drug programs bundle a compounded product from a pharmacy they choose into one monthly price. Compounded GLP-1s are not FDA-approved, and FDA does not review them for safety, effectiveness or quality [11].
How to choose a program
- Decide brand or compounded first. Brand drugs are FDA-approved and priced by Lilly and Novo. Compounded versions are cheaper but not FDA-approved; FDA had 990 adverse event reports for compounded semaglutide and more than 730 for compounded tirzepatide as of May 31, 2026 [11].
- Price the maintenance dose, for a year. Intro prices end. Cheapest tirzepatide shows the first-year math.
- Check the FDA and complaint record. Use our FDA warning letter tracker.
- Read the cancellation terms before entering a card. Prepaid plans and per-term memberships are common.
- Ask about insurance. If your plan covers Zepbound or Wegovy, the maker's card can drop a fill to $25 [34] [3].

What is the best injection for weight loss at home?
All the approved weekly weight-loss injections are self-injected at home. Two lead: Zepbound (tirzepatide) and Wegovy (semaglutide). In SURMOUNT-5, a head-to-head trial, tirzepatide averaged 20.2% weight loss and semaglutide 13.7% at 72 weeks, and waist size fell 18.4 cm versus 13.0 cm [1]. Stomach side effects were the most common in both groups [1]. Those are averages, and many people lose more or less.
Side effects are the other half of "best." In Zepbound's weight trials, nausea hit 25% to 29% of people on the drug versus 8% on placebo [7]. In Wegovy's 2.4 mg trials it hit 44% versus 16% [8]. These come from different trials and cannot be compared directly. Both carry a boxed warning for thyroid C-cell tumors in rodents [7] [8]. The full comparison is on Wegovy vs Zepbound.
If you would rather take a pill
Two GLP-1 pills are approved for weight. The Wegovy pill (oral semaglutide 25 mg) averaged an estimated 16.6% weight loss versus 2.7% on placebo at 64 weeks if everyone had stayed on treatment, or 13.6% counting everyone [9]. Foundayo (orforglipron) at 17.2 mg averaged 11.1% versus 2.1% at 72 weeks [10]. Prices run $149 to $299 a month for both [3] [4]. See Foundayo vs Wegovy pill.
WeightWatchers and other names people search
Novo Nordisk named WeightWatchers as a self-pay partner for Wegovy and Ozempic when it launched its $199 intro offer on Nov 17, 2025, alongside Costco, GoodRx, Ro, LifeMD and eMed; that partner list may have changed since [47]. We did not confirm WeightWatchers' current membership fee, the price it charges for the Wegovy pen or pill, or whether it prescribes Zepbound, Mounjaro or tirzepatide. For reference, Novo's own self-pay prices are $149 to $299 for the pill and $349 for the pen ($199 for the first two low-dose fills) [3]. Ask WeightWatchers for the drug price and the program fee separately.
We have not yet reviewed Calibrate, Sequence, Sesame, Joi, Juniper or Measured. A third-party compilation of fda.gov letters lists Measured among recipients of Feb 20, 2026 warning letters; we have not opened that letter [48]. We could not confirm enough about these programs to rate them: Embody, Noom Med, Valhalla Vitality, DudeMeds and PeterMD. For each, the site, prices, terms or complaint record could not be read when we checked on Oct 17, 2026. That is not a finding against them. It means we have no basis to send you there yet.
Before any GLP-1
Zepbound and Wegovy are not for people with a personal or family history of medullary thyroid carcinoma or MEN 2 [7] [8]. Seek care for severe stomach pain that will not go away and for signs of an allergic reaction; low blood sugar is more likely with insulin or a sulfonylurea [7]. Both are stopped when pregnancy is recognized [7] [8]. Call 911 in an emergency. More on GLP-1 side effects.

Questions people ask
What is the best weight loss injection?
In the SURMOUNT-5 head-to-head trial, tirzepatide (Zepbound) averaged 20.2% weight loss at 72 weeks versus 13.7% for semaglutide (Wegovy), with stomach side effects most common in both [1]. The best choice for a person depends on health history, side effects and cost, which a prescriber weighs.
What is the cheapest GLP-1 online?
For FDA-approved drugs, the Wegovy pill and Foundayo start at $149 a month at the lowest dose, checked Oct 17, 2026 [3] [4]. Zepbound starts at $299 and the Wegovy pen at $199 for its first two fills [2] [3]. The lowest compounded prices we list are at IVIM, a caution-rated program: $65 a month for semaglutide (shown next to a waitlist note) and $117 for tirzepatide, on prepaid programs and before memberships [26].
How much is Wegovy through WeightWatchers?
Does WeightWatchers offer Zepbound or tirzepatide?
We did not confirm whether WeightWatchers prescribes Zepbound, Mounjaro or tirzepatide. Zepbound itself costs $299 to $449 a month through LillyDirect with any prescriber, checked Oct 17, 2026 [2].
