Remedy Meds review: cost, pharmacy and complaints

Remedy Meds received an FDA warning letter on Sept 9 2025 for saying its compounded semaglutide had the "same active ingredient as Ozempic and Wegovy" [1]. That wording was not on its home page on Oct 17 2026, so we rate it Caution, but the home page shows no prices at all, only a quiz [2], so we could not confirm what it costs.

Medical review: pending. A licensed clinician has not yet reviewed this page.

Remedy Meds (Remedy Meds LLC) is an online weight loss service that prescribes compounded semaglutide and tirzepatide through clinician groups such as OpenLoop Healthcare Partners.

Our verdict

Use caution

A past FDA letter whose cited wording was not on the home page when we checked, and a written weight loss warranty with strict conditions. The rating is provisional because product pages and the BBB record were not checked. Prices sit behind a quiz, and the terms allow early billing and charges even when no refill ships.

FDA record
Warning letter dated Sept 9 2025 for "same active ingredient" claims about compounded semaglutide and tirzepatide [1]. Not found on the home page on Oct 17 2026; product pages were not checked.
BBB
No confirmed BBB record. We could not check Remedy Meds's BBB profile as of Oct 17 2026, so this rating does not rest on a good BBB record and stays provisional until we do.
Best for
People who want compounded GLP-1 care with ongoing clinician and care team access, and who are willing to take the intake quiz to see a price.
Watch out
We have not yet confirmed this company's BBB record. Membership is billed up front per term, may bill up to 10 days early, and keeps charging even if no refill ships [3].

What Remedy Meds costs

We read the Remedy Meds home page on Oct 17 2026 and found no dollar amounts. It says refills ship every 28 days, shipping is free, and HSA and FSA cards are accepted, and the plans are month-to-month. Brand Ozempic and Zepbound appear only behind a "Retail Pricing" link [2]. Without completing the quiz, we cannot give you a price.

To judge a quote from the quiz, compare it with dated prices elsewhere: on Oct 17 2026 Direct Meds charged $297 a month for compounded semaglutide and $399 for compounded tirzepatide, all-inclusive [4]. Our semaglutide cost and tirzepatide cost guides show the full range.

Cancelling, refunds and the warranty

  • Cancel at least 48 hours before the end of your term [3].
  • Fees are non-refundable, except under a 12-month "Weight Loss Warranty". It requires 13 shipments in a row, the standard compounded dose only, and a video weigh-in [3].
  • Disputes go to JAMS arbitration with a class action waiver. You have 30 days to opt out of arbitration [3].

What Remedy Meds sells

Remedy Meds offers compounded semaglutide and tirzepatide, a microdose plan it describes as "half the dose, twice a week", and brand Ozempic and Zepbound at retail pricing [2]. Clinicians come from OpenLoop Healthcare Partners PC, JMP Medical PA and KMG Medical Group MO PC [3]. The pharmacies are described only as "U.S.A. Licensed Pharmacies" [2].

The home page now states that FDA has not evaluated these medicines for safety, quality or efficacy [2], which matches FDA's position on compounded drugs [5]. Microdosing is not a labeled use: the Wegovy label starts at 0.25 mg once weekly and steps up from there [8]. See microdosing semaglutide.

FDA warning letter and current status

FDA reviewed remedymeds.com in August 2025 and sent its letter on Sept 9 2025. It cited two product listings: "Semaglutide (Compounded) Same active ingredient as Ozempic and Wegovy" and "Tirzepatide (Compounded) Same active ingredient as Mounjaro and Zepbound" [1]. The same wave of letters reached Hims, Direct Meds and others [6]; see our FDA warning letter tracker and Direct Meds review.

On Oct 17 2026 we found no "same active ingredient" wording on the Remedy Meds home page; Ozempic and Zepbound appeared only as brand options [2]. We did not check every product page. A past letter with the claims removed is a Caution under our rating rules.

BBB and reviews: Remedy Meds has no confirmed BBB record: we could not check its BBB profile, and we did not read its Trustpilot page. A D or F rating or a billing complaint pattern would move it to Avoid. This page is marked unconfirmed until we can check those and a price.

Who it fits

  • Fits: someone who wants ongoing clinician access and coaching with a compounded GLP-1, and who can pay with an HSA or FSA card.
  • Look elsewhere if: you want to see a price before giving health details, want a refund if you stop early, or want an FDA-approved drug at the maker's price.

Safety

Compounded semaglutide and tirzepatide are not FDA-approved, and FDA does not review them for safety, effectiveness or quality [13]. FDA has received reports of dosing errors with compounded injectable semaglutide, some needing hospital care [7]. Follow your prescriber's instructions and the pharmacy label. The Wegovy label warns of thyroid C-cell tumors in rodents and of pancreatitis; severe stomach pain that will not go away needs prompt care [8]. Call 911 for a severe allergic reaction.

Questions people ask

Is Remedy Meds legit?

Remedy Meds is a Delaware company using clinician groups such as OpenLoop Healthcare Partners [3]. FDA sent it a warning letter on Sept 9 2025 over "same active ingredient" claims [1], which were not on its home page on Oct 17 2026. We rate it Caution, provisionally, since product pages and its BBB record were not checked.

How much does Remedy Meds cost?

We could not confirm it. On Oct 17 2026 the Remedy Meds home page showed no prices; they appear only after an intake quiz. Refills ship every 28 days and HSA and FSA cards are accepted [2].

Why did the FDA warn Remedy Meds?

FDA's Sept 9 2025 letter cited listings that called its compounded semaglutide and tirzepatide the "same active ingredient" as Ozempic, Wegovy, Mounjaro and Zepbound [1]. FDA treats that kind of sameness claim as misleading [5].

Can I get a refund from Remedy Meds?

Usually not. Its terms say fees are non-refundable except under a 12-month Weight Loss Warranty that requires 13 shipments in a row, the standard compounded dose and a video weigh-in. You must cancel 48 hours before your term ends [3].

What pharmacy does Remedy Meds use?

It does not name one. Its home page says medicines are "Compounded by U.S.A. Licensed Pharmacies" [2].

Does Remedy Meds charge if I skip a refill?

Yes, according to its terms: membership fees are billed up front for each term and continue even if no refill ships, and billing can happen up to 10 days early [3].
