Mochi Health review: cost, pharmacy and complaints

We rate Mochi Health avoid. NBC Bay Area reported in June 2026 that Washington's Department of Health issued a Notice of Immediate Jeopardy to Aequita Pharmacy, Mochi's compounding supplier, after substantiating whistleblower complaints [1]. Eli Lilly is also suing Mochi and Aequita [2]. On Oct 17 2026 Mochi listed compounded tirzepatide from $90 and compounded semaglutide from $60, plus a membership [3].

Mochi Health is an online obesity medicine practice that prescribes brand and compounded GLP-1s for a membership fee, with medications billed separately.

Our verdict

Why Mochi Health is rated avoid

NBC Bay Area's Investigative Unit reported on Jun 4 2026 that Washington's Department of Health substantiated whistleblower complaints and issued a Notice of Immediate Jeopardy to Aequita Pharmacy in Kirkland, Mochi's compounding supplier [1]. The reported problems included:

  • Unlicensed temporary workers.
  • Expired prescriptions ready to ship.
  • A report of glass in product.
  • Improvised cold packs.

Aequita is reported to have closed in April; we could not confirm that from a primary source. Separately, Eli Lilly sued Mochi Health, Aequita Pharmacy and Aequita Corp. in federal court in Northern California. A ruling reported Sep 8 2026 dismissed Lilly's Lanham Act conspiracy claims but let California unfair competition claims tied to the corporate practice of medicine go forward against the Aequita defendants [2]. Our rules treat regulator action against a pharmacy partner as avoid.

Mochi tirzepatide and semaglutide today

Mochi still listed compounded tirzepatide (2.2 to 16.6 mg) and semaglutide (0.22 to 6.48 mg) on Oct 17 2026, now from a "network of pharmacies" it does not name [3]. Compounded semaglutide and tirzepatide are not FDA-approved. FDA does not review compounded drugs for safety, effectiveness or quality before they are sold [8]. Mochi also sells compounded orforglipron, the drug in brand Foundayo, which FDA approved on Apr 1 2026 [9]. FDA's compounding rules bar essentially copies of approved drugs unless the prescriber documents a significant difference for that patient [10]. Ask which pharmacy fills your order before you buy. More in compounded tirzepatide.

Who should look elsewhere

Anyone who wants a compounded drug from a pharmacy with a clean record, and anyone who wants refund rights on medication. Mochi's low membership and insurance billing for visits are real strengths, but the pharmacy history outweighs them for now. Our FDA letter tracker lists letters to compounders too.

If you have Mochi medication at home

Do not use an injectable that arrived warm, and call the pharmacy on the label. FDA advises throwing away compounded multi-dose vials 28 days after first use and using a new needle and syringe for each dose [8]. The approved drugs carry a boxed thyroid tumor warning [11]. Stomach pain that will not stop can be pancreatitis. Call 911 in an emergency.
