How we check

Concierge and longevity medicine in Dallas

Expect a Dallas-area concierge practice to charge an annual retainer while your insurance keeps paying for visits. The only metro fee we could document was an Arlington MDVIP physician's $2,400 a year, seen October 17, 2026 [1], and most Dallas practices keep their price off the web.

Concierge medicine is primary care sold with an extra membership fee that buys more access and time with the doctor.

What a Dallas retainer pays for

The federal GAO's working definition: a practice that charges patients a membership fee and in return offers enhanced services or amenities [4]. The AAFP draws the line with direct primary care this way: concierge contracts are yearly, cost more, often keep billing insurance and revolve around a thorough annual physical, while DPC runs on a small monthly fee outside insurance [5].

Against a city of 1,329,491 with a $70,518 median household income [2], that Arlington retainer equals about 3.4% of a middle household's income, before premiums or copays. Many Dallas families will want to price a DPC plan or a cheap hybrid before committing.

Direct primary care and HSAs in Texas

Texas carved DPC out of insurance regulation in 2015 through HB 1945, now Occupations Code chapter 162, subchapter F [3]. Federal tax law changed too. Starting with 2026, IRS guidance says a DPC plan costing no more than $150 a month for one person neither disqualifies you from HSA contributions nor has to be paid with after-tax money [10][11]. A concierge practice that bills insurance alongside its fee falls outside that rule [10]. Compare models on concierge versus DPC and the DPC guide.

On Medicare in Dallas

For the 11.8% of Dallas residents already 65 or older [2], Medicare will not reimburse a concierge fee. Medicare.gov also bars a participating doctor from charging the fee for services Medicare already covers, and requires an Advance Beneficiary Notice for any non-covered item bundled into the membership [12]. Longevity clinics and executive physicals

Dallas searches for longevity clinics and executive physicals often lead to programs that publish no price. Mayo Clinic's Executive Health Program, for example, lists no fee for its one- to three-day visits at Rochester, Scottsdale, Jacksonville or London [13]. See the executive physical guide and longevity testing guide for what tests cost when bought one by one.
